Availability
Online lessons are available Sunday-Thursday, as available, and in person lessons are available Monday-Thursday.
Cancellation Policy for Online and In-Person Lessons
Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance or the tuition payment is still due. Cancellations must be made by either e-mail at xaksullivan@gmail.com, or verbally in person or by phone at (205) 910-8053. All other methods (for example, text messaging) other than verbal cancellation and e-mail cancellation are invalid methods of cancellation and the tuition payment is still due.
Communication
Communication is to be in person, by phone, by e-mail, or in the online lesson. I do not receive text messages and thus I will not respond to them.
Goals
Please give me an idea of the student’s current level and what the goals are in what time span so that we can agree upon a course of action that fits the situation. If you do not know, then I will recommend a standard one of a textbook (likely Neue Horizonte – see the Shop), with some supplemental books and CDs.
Pünktlichkeit – eine deutsche Tugend (Punctuality – a German virtue).
Please arrive 5 minutes before the lesson if possible. If your lesson is scheduled at 3 p.m., try to be there at 2:55. While this may not always be possible, it will help to ensure that you are not late. Remember: Fünf Minuten vor ist des Soldaten Pünktlichkeit. (Five minutes before is the soldier’s punctuality).
Tuition Payments
Tuition payments may be made in cash (for in person lessons), or by check (for online lessons). More payment options may come available in the future (perhaps in 2011).
If payments have not been made for previous lessons, I reserve the right to cancel future lessons at any time.
