Birmingham, AL ESL Lessons | Online ESL Lessons

Though GLH started out teaching German in private residences, then at universities, then German teenagers ESL in Wölmersen, Germany, then tutoring clients for large multinational corporations that were moving abroad to Germany for work-related reasons to such cities as Stuttgart and Düsseldorf, GLH has since broadened its horizons to working the other side of the coin: ESL, especially for the niche of Germans trying to learn English, to work in England, the Americas, or other English-speaking areas.

Lessons are available online with payment through PayPal, or in person in Birmingham, AL at an estimated rate of $30 an hour.

“ESL has become the lingua franca of the business world,” states Zac Sullivan, GLH ESL teacher.

Availability is limited and is on a first come, first serve basis. Lesson times are limited, so e-mail Zac at xaksullivan@gmail.com or call me at (205) 910-8053 and discuss details. Chances are Zac may be in a lesson or unable to take your call when you call, so please leave a message with your name and number in it so that he can get back to you in a timely manner. He currently does not receive text messages.

Testimonials:

“My company hired Zac to be my German tutor. I met with him twice a week for six months, and I feel that the results of my tutoring sessions were more than expected. I now have a firm grasp on German grammar, comprehension, and speech/pronunciation.
Zac was always punctual and professional, and he was willing to spend extra time to make sure my progression was on track. He was creative in his choice of teaching methods, and he maintained personal interest in my grasp of the language. In conclusion, I highly recommend Zac as a candidate for this position.” 21. - Eric Kamber of Kambernet.com | Narrow Fabric Machinery, LLC

“Zac Sullivan did a great job preparing me for my German Language Exam. We met once or twice a week for five months and I thoroughly enjoyed having him as an instructor. He was extremely helpful, often going above and beyond my expectations. For example, Zac would give me worksheets and handouts to supplement the material in the book. This required time and effort outside of our sessions and is a great example of his personal commitment to my success. I would recommend Zac to anyone who wants an enthusiastic, talented tutor who will help them meet their individual goals.”

      Hey Stephen,

Beginner lessons typically go through the Neue Horizonte, 6th Edition book, and I offer supplemental materials and handouts, etc. Lessons are currently available in person (if in Birmingham, if scheduling allows), and online via Gmail Chat.

If you are interested in German lessons with me, please send me an e-mail at xaksullivan@gmail.com or give me a call at (205) 910-8053 and give me an idea of your level as well, please.

      Are you a student?

I look forward to hearing back from you.

      Thanks,

      Zac Sullivan, M.A.

I am interested in German Classes for beginners. Please let me know if you have group or private classes, as well as your availability.
    thks

    • germanle says:

All lessons available right now are private lessons, however if you have friends or couples that might like to take together we might could negotiate a different tuition rate. Private one-on-one lessons are $30 an hour at present. Skype lessons are also available at the same rate.

  3. Roy Sims says:

    Jessica,
I am also interested in learning German and it would be awesome if I could get a little lower rate by going in with a group. Plus a group would allow for extra practice. Just email me if you decide to get a group together. simsroy766@gmail.com
    Thanks,
    Roy

Eric I’ve ordered the book that you’ve recommended to Stephen and I will more than likely be contacting you after it comes in.

    • germanle says:

      Hey Roy,

I think you mean Zac – not Eric – Eric is a previous student. I’ve passed the info along to Jessica via e-mail to be sure she gets it as she is trying to organize a class and the rate would provide more class time than private lessons for less money for each individual student, but I would need to be paid tuition by all students at the beginning of each month. Anyway, I look forward to seeing how it works out here in the near future!

      Best,

      Zac Sullivan,
